Margarete and Adam came from Atlanta, GA with friends and family for this Biltmore Estate wedding in Asheville, North Carolina. They are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and it was such a privilege to work with them. During our E-session at the Biltmore in May, we noticed they were naturals in front of the camera. Their chemistry and delightful demeanor really make the photos glow! We were happy photographers, to say the least.

The ladies started the day with a yummy brunch at the Corner Kitchen and then got their hair done at Ananda in downtown Asheville. After that it was off to the Inn at Biltmore where they finished getting ready. Margarete and Adam chose to see each other privately before the ceremony and it was truly an emotional moment as the photographs show. The wedding ceremony (officiated by the wonderful Tim Lolley) and reception was at the Deerpark at Biltmore. Thanks to Tamara from Belle Soiree for making things run smoothly, and to Sound Extreme for keeping the music spinning all night as the guests mingled and danced. The lovely floral designs for this wedding were by The Bloom Room.

The newlyweds ended the evening with style and were driven off in a gorgeous Excalibur Convertible. Now that’s classy!

We did an E-session with Amanda and Wes a few months ago that got us very excited for this wedding. These two are a pleasure to be around and so are all their friends and family! It was a celebration for everyone involved and the emotion was felt throughout the beautiful summer day.

The wedding day started at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville where the ceremony took place. If you have never been inside the Basilica it’s worth checking out! It’s a gorgeous setting for a wedding ceremony. The mood became energetic when the reception started at On Broadway and the sounds of Orange Krush filled the venue. The floral designs that decorated the joint were by Studio Flora Diva.

It was a joyous and wonderful occasion to photograph and we were thrilled to be there for every moment! Also, many thanks to Jennifer from Verge Events. As usual, it was great to work with fellow Asheville wedding vendors.

We had the pleasure of traveling to Chicago to do an engagement session with Whitney and Jon. Chicago is an awesome city and it was a lot of fun to explore. We ascended to the top of the Sears Tower (now called the Willis Tower), went to see Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”), and ended the evening with some yummy Chicago-style pizza!

Whitney and Jon are tying the knot in Asheville at the Crest Center this November.

Next stop: California! We are photographing a wedding in San Francisco this weekend and it’s going to be awesome! Be back soon!
