Everything about Laura and Matthew’s rustic North Carolina wedding is super lovable. The details infused with Chemistry (they met in college and had a bunch of science classes together), DIY flowers, their sweet dog, Mabelle, and bluegrass music aplenty. They tied the knot on a summer day in Brasstown, NC at Staurolite Farm. It was a hot, hot day in the mountains but no one let the heat slow them down. Laura and Matthew hired their favorite band to play the reception, and Cabinet seriously “blue” the roof off the joint! Guests were dancing the entire night to bluegrass tunes in a charming old barn adorned with paper lanterns. Rustic perfection.

OH MY!!! Coming in on a jeep, this couple are the funnest people ever. I loved the periodic table…I taught chemistry for 4 years and I busted out laughing when I saw that.

I saw this collection of amazing wedding photos after following a facebook link by Cabinet, a band I have only seen twice now, but enjoy immensely. One of my hobbies is photography, and I am so blown away by this wedding album. Not only is this type of wedding something I would really enjoy, your sense of composition, focus and subject matter are phenomenal. I am also a watercolor painter, and I felt so much inspiration from looking through your photos. I especially connected with the still lifes of flowers and the natural scenes, but most of all, the two photos of the older gentlemen (one with the Notre Dame magazine and one with the laptop in the field…wow!!!) really blew me away.
