Alyson and Alex’s Claxton Farm Wedding rehearsal dinner was so enjoyable that we just had to share the photos. Claxton Farm has recreation and games for guests, from corn hole to horseshoes and a good ole fashioned bonfire for makin’ S’mores. For those under-rock dwellers, that’s a roasted marshmallow and Hershey’s bar smothered between graham crackers. Yum! Also you can’t ignore the beautiful animals on the grounds such as ponies, llamas, and cows. It’s the perfect mountain vibe for those who want a rustic wedding venue in Asheville, NC.

We’re excited to share Ashley and Chris’ Crest Center wedding in Asheville. Not only was this couple endearing but the guests sure knew how to party, making for plenty of “dance floor moments” to photograph. Ashley and Chris were also excited to grab some sunset portraits with us during golden hour, which was awesome! And how about that sparkler exit? Even though a few stubborn sparklers decided to be smokey instead of sparkly, they were great sports and smiled through the smoke!

It was fabulous working with Crest Center, BobbyMarks Designs (florist), Sweet Promises (cake), and Danielle with West One Salon, to name a few.

We like to put our photojournalistic shooting style into overdrive when we shoot weddings, and this one was no exception. Sarah and Bill had a Biltmore Estate wedding at the Lioncrest venue and there were so many wonderful moments. Part of what’s so intriguing about documenting weddings is photographing the anticipation and build-up before the ceremony. Not only is this great for the bride and groom to look back on, but it helps fill in the narrative of the whole day.

The ceremony was officiated by Sarah’s father which was very special, and there were lots of emotional ceremony photos to be taken. The children guests were particularly adorable at this wedding and might want to look into a career as “hilarious wedding dancers”.

The talented Blush by Wendy was the makeup artist, Lola did her hair, and we got to work once more with Asheville Event Co (planners). And of course we have to mention Bloom Room and their beautiful floral arrangements! It’s worth checking out the bridal shoot we did with Sarah a few months ago. She looks so elegant and relaxed in these and on her wedding day. Not to mention, everyone at the wedding was so unbelievably nice to us all day. This always makes us jump for joy (not literally. Or maybe?) at the thought of being wedding photographers.

Michael popped the question to Emily at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. For this proposal we didn’t do the “espionage” approach and hide in a tree far away to document it. Emily just thought they were having some professional photos done (maybe for a Christmas card?). After a few photos Michael got the ring box from his pocket, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Success! After that we did some engagement photos with them around the Biltmore. A beautiful sunset ended the evening and either Michael knew this day would be gorgeous to propose on, or Two Ring Studios has good mojo and a colorful sunset is included when you book us ;)
