A great location, an awesome couple, and a gorgeous day – that is the recipe for a perfect engagement shoot. Lori and Clinton came into town over the weekend for their engagement photography and couldn’t have picked a better time for it. February is typically cold in Asheville, NC but this day was pleasant and warm. We walked around the Biltmore which of course has lots to offer: mountain views, stunning architecture, and even a lagoon. That is one of Lori’s favorite spots at the Estate and also very close to where he proposed to her.

Lori and Clinton will be getting married this April at Biltmore and we are delighted to be their photographer. During the shoot they told us about some of the details of their big day. Not to give too much away, but one of them has to do with girl scout cookies (can you say ‘yummy’?)

It has been snowing in Asheville, NC and we got lucky enough to do some winter wonderland engagement photography with Holly and Chad. This charming couple traveled from Ohio to get some destination wedding planning done and do an engagement shoot with us at Biltmore Estate. From start to finish their endearing personalities inspired us and made our jobs easy. It was hard not to take a good photo of them and we loved how they were willing to be silly in front of the camera. As we walked to different shooting locations we chatted about their upcoming wedding at Cliffs at Glassy, how they met (cute story we are saving for their wedding blog post), and even puppies (Holly wants one). On these “e-sessions”, getting to know the couple before the wedding is just as valuable as the photography part.

The wind was brutal in this spot so they got down to escape it while we set up the shot. We had them stand up quickly for a few shots, but thought this candid moment was cuter.
