Recently we went up to New York City for Alyson and Alex’s engagement photography. They are an endearing couple with a great sense of humor so we were thrilled to experience our first NY engagement shoot with them. We stopped at the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, and Grand Central Station to name a few places. The big city was an exciting change of pace for us and Alyson and Alex couldn’t have been more of a delight to capture. They are getting married this fall in Asheville, NC – can’t wait!

We love traveling out of town for international weddings and this one was a total thrill for us. We trekked up to New York and New Jersey from Asheville, NC to photograph Anita and Apurva’s Indian wedding. You may remember Swapna and Ravi’s wedding from last year? Swapna and Anita are cousins so it was an honor to be invited back as the photographers for Anita’s special day. It was great seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new ones!

Everything about this wedding was amazing: the people, the energy, delicious food, vibrant colors, and so much more. Wherever we turned there was a moment or detail we just had to photograph. And with two photographers it turned out to be a massive collection of lovely images. It was difficult to narrow it down for a blog post!

Over the weekend we traveled to New York and New Jersey to shoot Anita & Apurva’s wedding. It was an Indian wedding and we had an incredible time capturing the weekend. We feel honored to have been invited so far away to document such a beautiful occasion filled with so much emotion and energy.

We can’t wait to share the photos from their wedding day! Here are a few shots from a party held before the wedding. Ruchi Shah’s gorgeous Mehendi (Henna) designs are featured in a few of these shots. Her work and detail is exquisite!
