Wedding at Glassy Chapel – Holly & Chad (Part 1)

If we had a nickel for every hug photographed at this wedding, we could probably buy lattes for a year. The joyful moments abounded around Holly and Chad and all their family & friends. Even we got hugs when we first showed up. Basically these are two of the sweetest people, probably on the face of the earth.

This will be a two part post, with this round featuring getting ready photos and the ceremony. The ceremony was at the breathtaking Cliffs at Glassy Chapel in South Carolina. Rev. Tim Lolley, one of our favorite officiants, was asked to play a little joke on everyone at the request of Holly and Chad. Here is an excerpt of what went down:

Tim Lolley: [after bride is given away] Everyone please have a seat
TL: Everyone please stand.
TL: I mean, everyone please take a seat.
TL: Ok please stand up again.
TL: I am sorry you can have a seat; Chad and Holly made me do that

Following these shenanigans Holly and Chad high-fived each other and everyone laughed hysterically. We got to capture hilarious moments, tender ones, tear-jerking speeches, and adorable chemistry during our portrait session.

Thanks so much to Katie Crain Weddings for doing a great job all day, and also Wilson’s on Washington (salon) for puttin’ up with our shutter clicks as the bridesmaids got their hair done.
