We always feel lucky when a photo shoot like Tai and Linh’s comes around. This was a surprise proposal and engagement shoot that Tai had been planning for quite some time. Everything fell into place perfectly! The weather was amazing just like he imagined. Tai told us he was hoping it would be 75º and when he checked the weather that day it was 76º. That must be a sign of a long and happy life together!
This charming couple is from Houston, Texas and took a trip to Asheville, NC. The proposal happened at the Biltmore Estate and somehow Linh kept her eyes closed on the drive from the hotel all the way onto the Biltmore property. Tai led her from the car, up a few ramps, and to the Diana overlooking the house, and when she opened her eyes he was down on one knee. Can you tell by the pictures that she said “yes”?
Following the joyful moment we had an awesome engagement session. They are such a beautiful and genuine couple to photograph! Asking them to smile was kind of unnecessary because they were cheerful the whole shoot. Enjoy some of our favorite photos from this vibrant, spring session.

I just love it when a groom has the presence of mind to capture a moment like this. And you two are a perfect pair for this sort of thing. I spend a lot of time looking at wedding photography and I think I’ve run into one (may be) photographer that comes close to perfectly capturing the human emotion of the moment like you do. You got that moment. That OMG-there’s-really-a-ring-on-my-finger moment. Your dance floor shots are always so fantastic too! Nice job!
